Learn Danish at the Language Center

Become one of the approximately 1,000 student who study Danish at Language Center Aalborg every year. The Language Center is part of Aalborg Municipality and the center teaches and supports citizens who have come to the municipality as workers, students, refugees, au pairs, and much more. Teaching takes place both during the day and in the evening.

Various opportunities

When you study Danish at Language Center Aalborg, you will study along side people with more than 100 different nationalities. As far as possible, the education will be adapted to your job, studies, or other activities.

Generally, your lessons take place at the Language Centers facilities. However, we are also able to arrange teaching at other educational institutions, for instance the AAU Campus for AAU students and employees, if a larger group of students or employees can start at the same time.

We also offer Danish courses for international employees at companies. The teaching is organised based on the needs of the company and the employees, and the aim is for international employees to be able to speak, read, and write Danish at a level that matches the company’s requirements and the employee’s job function.

Language Center Aalborg is also a test centre for the state‑authorised Danish tests PD1, PD2, PD3 and the Study Test, as well as the Citizenship Test and the Active Citizen Exam.

Danish education as a part-time study

Each of the three Danish education programmes is a part‑time study. The offer of a Danish education is valid for up to 5 years from the time you receive a referral letter from your municipality. This normally happens within the first month after you have moved to the municipality.

There are continuous start dates for the programmes throughout the year.

Language Center Aalborg organises the teaching in a manner that ensures that the education can be completed within 3 years.
