How do you register for a Danish course?
When you move to Denmark, your municipality will send you a letter referring you to a Danish language programme. The letter will explain how to get started and how to contact your local language center.

Receive letter
First, you will receive a letter from Aalborg Municipality informing you that you have the opportunity to begin a Danish language programme at Language Center Aalborg.
The letter will arrive within the first month after you have moved to the municipality. We send the letter as secure digital mail (for example, e-Boks, Digital Post, or Mit.dk).
If you do not receive a letter offering Danish classes within one month after moving to the municipality, please contact the Job and Integration Office in Aalborg.

Register on the website
Once you have received the letter and are ready to begin your Danish language programme, you must complete the registration form on our website. You can find it by following the link at the top of this page.
Pay deposit
If you are self-supporting, you must pay a deposit as part of the registration process.
Assessment
Once you have submitted your registration, we will contact you and invite you to an interview, where we will assess which Danish language programme and which module you can start at.
During the interview, you will be asked to talk a bit about yourself, your educational background, and more.
If you have any special challenges, for example, if you are dyslexic, this will also be discussed.
Based on the interview, we will place you in the Danish language programme and module that match your language level, and you will be able to start classes shortly afterwards.
You cannot choose the Danish language programme yourself. We places you in a programme and module based on the assessment interview and any additional information we have about you.
If you are unsure whether you have been placed at the right level, you can contact the Language Center or your teacher about arranging a new interview.

You will begin your Danish education at Language Center Aalborg.
