Prices and payment
Within your first 5 years in Denmark, you have the right to 3 years and 9 months of free Danish education. If your right to free education has expired, you can still learn Danish at Language Center Aalborg for a fee.
What is the cost of attending Language Center Aalborg?
If you are entitled to a Danish education, the teaching is free, but you may be required to pay a deposit. The deposit must be paid to the Language Center before your classes begin.
You will get your deposit refunded if you pass the module tests within the deadlines that apply for deposit refunds. See the deadlines below.
The deposit is 2,000 DKK, and the current price for each lesson is 80 DKK.
Who has to pay a deposit?
The Danish language programme at Language Center Aalborg is free for the vast majority of foreigners.
If you are self-supporting, or if your right to free education has expired, you must pay a deposit before you can begin at the language programme. You are considered self-supporting if you work or study in Denmark, and your right to free education has expired if you have lived in Denmark for more than 5 years.
If you are in Denmark as a refugee, family-reunified, or au pair, you do not have to pay a deposit.
You will be asked to pay the deposit when you register for a Danish course with us.
